Meet the APBS team, part 5!

Over the next several installments of the Views from the Valley newsletter, we’ll continue introducing some APBS employees. Join us as we learn more about them!

Name: Jim McNamara

Role at APBS: Installation Manager — I am responsible for the quality of our installs, the customer experience, and recruiting new talent. I mentor and coach/teach our team including sales reps on our products, installation application, and assist and support sales on new construction sites. Building relationships with our clientele is also an important role I do.

How long have you worked at APBS? From the very beginning — November 2020.

How did you get into this line of work? I’ve always been in the trades post college. I was a furniture designer/cabinet maker my first 10 years in the trades and eventually got into the installation/service end of it. That led me into managing other products including windows/doors and finish carpentry. Had my own business for 7 years.

What knick knacks do you keep on your desk? Just one coffee cup in the shape of a power drill. It says Mr. Fixit on it.

What kind of music do you listen to while you work? Out here in Phoenix, mostly Hispanic music at the jobsites. We call it, “ happy music” because it does that to you!

What is the coolest or weirdest thing you’ve ever seen on a jobsite? Had three Javelinas come into the house and started eating our French fries during a lunch break! That wasn’t cool it was scary!!

Fun fact about you: I’m a fraternal twin and have two older identical twins who both became high school principals. Go figure.

APBS Grand Opening a success!

When the doors opened at 2 p.m. on October 18th, the showroom flooded with over 50 construction and building professionals from around the Phoenix area. One professional in attendance who has built using many different window manufacturers throughout the years said: “There is no comparison to Andersen® Products and APBS. It’s my opinion that bringing clients into the new showroom will be a helpful tool to show and tell the value of the products rather than focusing solely on price.”

Haven’t seen our new showroom yet? Schedule an appointment to come visit us Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm.

Happy Holidays from APBS!

Wishing you and yours a Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, and Happy Kwanzaa.

Our showroom will be closed on Monday, December 25; Tuesday, December 26; and Monday, January 1. We will be operating on our normal schedule all other days.
